Our premium Hook & Loop disc holders have a 1/4” steel shaft for mounting in a drill. They have genuine Velcro® brand hook material on the face. We offer them in various densities which adds versatility and allows the user to choose the one best suited to the task at hand.
Firm holders are made with 1/4" black neoprene and have an overthickness of about 3/8". These can be used for aggressive sanding and shaping tasks. They are the holder of choice to use with our 70 grit Diamond discs for leveling stone inlay.
Medium density holders are made with a cream color nitrile material with an overall thickness of about 3/4". These are typically used with lower grit abrasive discs(80 thru 120) to remove tools marks and do final shaping, followed up with 150 and 180 grits to smooth the surface in preparation for upper grits.
Soft denity holders are made with nitrile base bonded with a soft gray ester material with an overall thickness of about 1". Often used with grits 220 and higher to refine the project surface with progressively finer grits to achieve the desired result. They lend themselves very well to comforming with interior and exterior contours and provide a softer touch.
Our 3 1/2” and 5” disc holders can significantly reduce sanding time on larger turnings and projects. The increased abrasive surface sands faster at slower speeds and runs cooler adding to efficiency and long life. |
